gSurface Manual

Purpose: Interactive display of the energy and g-tensor surfaces in the three-level g-tensor model.

Program Run

To run the program: double-click on the shortcut or gsurfase.exe

To rotate images: press and hold the left mouse button and move the mouse

Program Control

• Camera - image size control
• X-grid, Y-grid, Z-grid
  • Check box - on/off coordinate grid
  • Track bar - coordinate grid position
• X extents, Y extents - change of Min and Max limits of the Energy plane
• Step - surface resolution
• Show axes - on/off display of axes
• Sign - toggle surface sign
• Surface - surface selection

Remarks:

• g_m - g-values for the third level
• E^o_n - initial energy surfaces for the level n (without spin-orbit interaction)
• E_n - energy surfaces for the level n with spin-orbit interaction
